Beauty and The Beast

The Beauty, my Calamondin tree had a visit this summer of a beast or at least shall we say a beastly looking thing. The visitor was a larvae of the Puss moth. An odd looking little fellow don’t you think?

I'm Back...Armed with a Machete

After several weeks at sea I'm back on solid ground again. Back to my garden...but what a mess, a small disaster at the first glance. Armed with secateurs, machete, one mile of garden twine I'm ready to attac the 'garden'... jungle. I have had help from my friends with the watering ( a huge thank you to you! ) But as the weather has been wet-wet-wet watering has been easy, another problem

Crescendo in my garden!

everything at once...

...Poppies,

 Forget-me-nots, Lilacs, Irises, Columbine, Daisies

...and the list goes on and on.

All these gorgeous flowers ’in floribus’ all at once like a huge symphonic orchestra. An orchestra that preforms the musical melody of summertime right now, right here in my garden.

Stuart and May - I will not forget you.

Forget-me-not

Last week when I visited my summerhouse I sat in a room next to the kitchen and suddenly I heard a strange sound from the kitchen, a rustling noise. It came from a plastic bag with my Danish rye bread. I realized pretty fast that ‘Stuart Little’ paid me a visit. I tossed a cork at the bag to frighten Stuart away but without luck. I quickly emptied a zinc bucket and pushed the bag

It does not really look like a tulip more like a Peony with its feathery leaves and it is fragrant like my white Peonies too, a scent of lemon and saffron, very interesting indeed. Name? Unfortunatly no name but it looks like a Mondial double tulip although Mondial is more white in

To Taste Tomas Edison or Not...

...that is the question.
