December Frost in Garden

As an amateur photographer I find things like frost crystals, fog, mist and water are just wonderful, it is a great way to capture a bit of 'drama' into the pictures. This is 'Lucia' once again singing the final verse - of the last song of the season. This Rose has been so fantasic this year 'in floribus' for almost 6 months! In the soft sunlight of December - Lichtkönigin 'Lucia' And once

Blackberries and Gherkins - September

September in the garden time to harvest the last tomatoes, the Mexican gherkins, peppers and chillies. The Mexican sour Gherkins (above on the right) are a true favorite of mine, if you haven't tried them before I really recommend that you to have a go with them. Vaccinium mytillus - Superfruit

Vaccinium mytillus a SuperfruitBlueberry is not the same as the Swedish Blåbär but they are closely related. The wild Bilberry Vaccinium mytillus is the same as Blåbär and it is a low-growing shrub and the wild or cultivated Blueberry Vaccinium corymbosum is a much taller shrub. I took this picture in the woods near my summerhouse, do you know I read somewhere that there are 250 miljon kilos of

Why Gooseberry

I wonder from where it got it´s name GOOSEBERRY? Anyway I love gooseberries and I think it´s underrated. The best way to eat them are straight from the bush as most berries are, don´t you agree? But they make a wonderful jam and very nice pies. Swiss Roll with gooseberry jam filling is delicious! Did I say that you can top it of with wipped cream....and a glass of Tokaji. Havtorn
